Thank you so much for visiting our site on the world-wide web.  The internet has given us a great opportunity to share with you the message and ministry of our church.

Derita Baptist Church (DBC) is a local church with a global concern.  We take seriously Christ’s command to take the gospel to the entire world. We see the whole world as our ministry area.  We want to do all that is within our power to see that the message of Jesus Christ is clearly presented to every person with whom we come in contact.

DBC is a member of the Southern Baptist Convention and the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina and as such supports over 8,000 missionaries around the world.  In addition to this we regularly are personally involved in mission trips (ranging from one week to several months) both at home and abroad.  We often partner with para-church groups in these mission opportunities. 

DBC seeks to present Jesus Christ in everything we do.  You can find out exactly what we believe on our website.
